Rescue Me

I just led an elaborate raid on my manager's office. After at least two minutes of extensive strategizing and planning, our three-person strike team (Linda, Doug and me) mobilized, secured the perimeter, and then proceeded with Operation PlantStorm. Using a variety of Green Beret tricks, Maktar Stealth Hazes, and good old fashion Ninja rolls, we snuck in and made off with the dying plant he had sitting on his floor. It was like one of those Animal Planet rescue raids to get out neglected animals, except instead of a boa constrictor in a fishtank we saved a sad-sack ficus. The plant had been damaged in our office move, and Tom had given up on it, but Team PlantStorm would not, and could not leave a man behind. Search and Rescue was a rousing success, but we ran into issues trying to provide emergency care once we had reached a safe location (my office). Due poor communication (owing to the fact that we didn't have walkie talkies or GPS-linked video phones), the ficus got heavily watered twice, and is currently dripping all over my desk, but little damage was done. I'm optimistic about the plant's chances, but she still has a long way to go on the road to recovery. After an ordeal like that though, she needs a name. Steve-o, Jumpy and Jonas are taken, so I'm all out. Any suggestions?

I have no idea what type of plant it actually is, but for naming purposes, assume it looks like the ficus above. Ficus is a fun word...

Also of note, as of yet Tom hasn't noticed his plant is gone. Linda went back to get her purse that she left on his table, and he was on the phone and said "Hi Linda! Hey, why is your purse in here?" She replied, "Why do you have my purse??," picked it up and walked out. Wish I had been there to see that. Way to go Team PlantStorm.

Also also of note: this is my 100th post since the rebirth of TOLAS. Yes, that includes the one on circus peanuts, so it's a bit of a farce. But a milestone it is.

How about mixing those three into Stumpas?

Masculine names for a feminine plant...intriguing.

How about Jo or Pat, so multi-gender functional?

    Rescue me
Oh take me in your arms
    Rescue me
    I want your tender charms
'Coz I'm lonely and I'm blue
I need you and your love too

    Come on and rescue me
Come on baby and rescue me
Come on baby and rescue me
'Coz I need you, by my side
Can't you see that I'm lonely
    Rescue me
