Why I can't go to work tomorrow
I actually got this from my manager. The one from whom I stole a plant. Yes he noticed, and he was glad that I was trying to save it from his destruction.

Does it bother anyone else that it seems the employee isn't totally honest, as it appears to be 20 *centimeters* of snow outside, not 20 inches (cause if you're in inches, it demarks at 12 inches, not 10)

Changler, I'm glad I made you laugh out loud. I thought it was funny. Way funny. Renée, you are correct. I didn't notice till you mentioned it. The standard tape measure case is 2.5 to 3 inches long, and the case for this one is much longer than 3 units on its tape. It's a good 7 units long, which would put it at 2-3/4 inches if the tape units are centimeters. Also, there appears to be a sandwich icon on the case, which I didn't notice before either. Man, I didn't expect the Danish Inquisition when I posted this...

i thought something looked weird about the tape measure. but what annoyed me was how it said something like "to prove it you" and left out the "to." hehehe. yay copyeditor.

The 20 centimeters reveals that the author is not so honest, hey?
Then again, when you get a snow day who really cares right ;-)
